BTS' V and Park Bo Gum Spotted At The Re-Opening of Celine Omotesando in Tokyo
Incoming — new store alert. And BTS’ V along with Park Bo Gum were there to take a closer look. Brutalism meets sculptural refinement in the newly revamped Celine store on Omotesando Street in Tokyo. Spanning over three floors, the new architectural design concept by Hedi Slimane sees the finest natural materials juxtaposed. With the ground floor dedicated mostly to leather goods, small leather goods, haute parfumerie, and fine jewellery, the first floor is home to women’s ready-to-wear collections while the basement is dedicated to ready-to-wear homme collections, leather goods, and accessories.

And when it comes to decor, chrome metal and polished gold brass materials helm the space. Art pieces commissioned by Slimane heroes an enamel and copper piece that mimics the look of a snake eating its own tail. The piece “Snake X” was created by Elaine Cameron-Weir and hangs at a grand height from the first to ground floor. Meanwhile, outside the store entrance is “Bronze Pour L” by A. Kassen — a bronze pour crafted in an unpredictable shape. Cameron Platter assembles three-dimensional totem sculptures that reproduce mass-produced everyday objects. David Nash stacks a serpentine column made with wood from trees that have fallen naturally or been felled due to age, disease, or safety. American artist Elizabeth Atterbury constructs ephemeral tableaux, Chris Succo creates “Televised Mind” — a painting made by spray painting lacquer and oil on canvas, and John Isaacs experiments with acrylic paint and gel medium on primed raw canvas.

it wouldn’t be a re-opening without a celebration with a grand entrance from the Celine global ambassador Taehyung and South Korean actor Park Bo Gum. V wore a trucker jacket, lambskin jeans while carrying the Celine Besace Triomphe and Park wore a biker jacket paired with quintessential Celine jeans while carrying the latest Celine Besace Triomphe bag.
